Special Design Features: Strong architectural elements in the use of stone and precast molding around the commercial range.

The design of this extraordinary kitchen was influenced by the client's desire for an old "French Chateau" look. To accomplish this period style, the kitchen and family room areas were separated through the use of stone columns and arches. the design was then carried through the surround used in the oven area.

With the design of a large island, complete with prep sink and maple block countertop, additional separation of the two rooms was accomplished. By designing the area in this fashion, the designer was able to create two distinct work stations to accommodate large gatherings. It also allows the cook and clean-up person to have their own space in which to work.
